San Diego, CA (January 28, 2014) – A fun time was had by all at the 7th Annual Scrumble Golf Tournament at the Siena Golf Club on Friday, January 24th.
Under mostly sunny skies and with temperatures that warmed to about 70, the 68 golfers taking part in this year’s Scrumble enjoyed the camaraderie and atmosphere that has made the Scrumble the success it has become.
All the golfers had a chance at winning the Ace Your Way to Bermuda contest, sponsored by Gosling’s. There were also Closest to the Pin and Long Drive holes on each nine.
Following the round of golf, players enjoyed a fabulous lunch in the Siena clubhouse and took part in the world famous Scrumble raffle which featured autographed baseballs from some of the game’s current stars, autographed rugby jerseys and balls, and many TaylorMade golf clubs.
The winning group consisted of three first-timers: Dai Thomas (all the way from Wales) and Bob and Paddy Hobohm (pictured above, left to right). Their adjusted winning score of 53 entitles them to bragging rights for a year, and each player also received a TaylorMade Golf Bag, a Gosling’s rugby jersey and a dozen TaylorMade golf balls.
The team of Ray Peterson, Yale Rowe, Tom Clearwater and Reuben Herrera came in with an adjusted score of 54. The team of John Fox, Steve Brooke, Leon Mead and Daron Dorsey placed third with an adjusted score of 56. All the members of the 2nd and 3rd place teams received polo shirts (courtesy of USA 7s) and a dozen TaylorMade golf balls.
