The Foursome of Mike Saunders, Bill Cox, Steve Sales and Lance Hendricks are the New Scrumble Champions

San Diego, CA (March 6, 2018) – Blustery and cool conditions greeted the golfers taking part in the 11th Annual Scrumble Charity Golf Tournament, which took place at the Siena Golf Club on Friday, March 2, 2018.

After receiving their SWAG Bag, which included a Scrumble jacket (courtesy of Building Infrastructure Group), a TaylorMade hat and a sleeve of TaylorMade balls (courtesy of the Tilted Kilt), and more, the players had a light breakfast and then it was off to the range to loosen up.

There were hole in one contests on each of the Par 3s, including a $10,000 grand prize on the 135 yard #17. In addition, there were closest to the pin contests on two of those Par 3s and long drive contests on two of the course’s Par 5s.

After the round was completed, the golfers converged at the clubhouse where they enjoyed a nice lunch and took part in the popular Scrumble raffle. They also consumed what remained of the donated Anheuser-Busch InBev products. Dilly Dilly!

The winning team, with a score of 53, was led by former United States Eagles captain, Mike Saunders. He had plenty of help from Bill Cox (aka Mr. Heather Cox)Lance Hendricks and Steve Sales. The Boise Four will not only have bragging rights until next year but each member of the winning team received:

• a TaylorMade golf bag embroidered with the Scrumble logo
• One dozen Scrumble golf balls

• US Rugby Foundation polos
• One dozen Scrumble golf balls

Finishing in third place with a 62 was the group made up of past Eagle John Mickel, Justin FindlayBill Lewis and Tina Lewis. Each member of the third place team received:• An autographed copy of former Ireland captain Paul O’Connell’s book
