The US Rugby Foundation is set to establish new representation in 10 regions where there are open spots (Northwest, Southwest, Northern California, Southern California, Central, Midwest, South, Southeast, Northeast, New England). These regions are spread across the entire United States, with each region featuring at least 1 member of the US Rugby Foundation Board of Governors.
The US Rugby Foundation strives to continue to grow grassroots rugby in America. The rollout of the 10 regions and attracting new Governors will help play a vital role in continuing the Foundation’s mission: to grow the game of rugby in America by providing grants to support youth rugby, safety, coaching, refereeing, and pathways to future excellence and by honoring those who exemplify the best of American rugby.
Along with the establishment of the 10 regions, comes the search for new Governors to fill open states. Assisting the United States Rugby Foundation Board of Directors is the Board of Governors. The Governors live in different geographical areas throughout the country and volunteer their time and commit to further developing and building grassroots rugby in America.
David Bruck, US Rugby Foundation Director says, “being a part of the US Rugby Foundation gives one a chance to bring meaningful change and progress to the game of Rugby in the United States. Let’s give our kids the same opportunities to play rugby as in commonwealth countries, and make rugby a mainstream sport in the United States for girls and boys.”
