Will (Wheels) Brewington
Fun Fact
Will (Wheels) Brewington has devoted much of his life to rugby, both as a player and coach. In 2000, the former 7s Eagle founded the Ellicott City Express Youth program, introducing boys and girls to the sport. The U-11 team clinched gold at the Maryland State Youth Tournament in its first year. By 2001, the program was officially registered with Recreation & Parks. Since then, hundreds of kids have joined, many experiencing rugby for the first time. In 2014, Will transitioned to head coach of the Rocky Gorge Men’s Rugby Club, a role he held until 2023. However, he returned to coach with Ellicott City Express in 2021 and continues to contribute today, playing a key role in the growth of rugby across Howard County.
Earlier this year, Mr. Brewington was inducted into the 2024 Howard County Community Sports Hall of Fame! We congratulate Will on this honor, and thank him for all that he has done for youth rugby.
